A groundbreaking Lancet report on synergies between universal health coverage, health security, and health promotion was launched during World Health Assembly (WHA) week. Dr. Francisco Songane, a member of our Governing Council, was one of the commissioners of the report .
Lancet report served as a powerful call to action, urging policymakers and stakeholders to prioritize health as a fundamental human right and invest in comprehensive, equitable, and resilient health systems to safeguard the well-being of present and future generations. Dr. Songane said, “It is extremely important that there is clarity and coherence to handle the agenda at country level. We should be ready to change our mindset and work together.”
