The Africa Public Health Foundation (APHF) joined African and global health leaders, regulators, healthcare professionals, patient advocates and other stakeholders at the Africa Patient Safety Summit Leadership Forum, held on 16–17 September 2026 at the headquarters of the African Medicines Agency (AMA) in Kigali, Rwanda.

Representing APHF , our CEO Dr. Ambrose Otau Talisuna joined leaders and experts from across the medicines and patient-safety ecosystem to explore practical approaches to strengthening medicines safety, patient protection, regulatory systems and coordinated action across Africa.

APHF is pleased to have supported the Leadership Forum as a Supporting Sponsor, contributing to an African-led platform that brings together different sectors to advance medicines safety and patient protection.
The Foundation looks forward to continued engagement with partners and stakeholders as the work progresses from alignment and prioritisation to practical action, learning and scale.
