Represented by our CEO Dr Ambrose Talisuna , we look forward to joining the Africa Patient Safety Summit Leadership Forum in Kigali on 16–17 September 2026.We are particularly proud that the Africa Public Health Foundation is supporting this important convening as a Supporting Sponsor.
Patient safety must become a priority for every health leader and system. Preventable harm from medicines has consequences far beyond the individual patient. It affects families, erodes trust in healthcare and places additional strain on already challenged health systems.
Our partnership with Medicines for Africa reflects our shared commitment to strengthening public health systems and advancing the partnerships required to improve health outcomes across the continent. Ensuring that medicines are available, quality-assured and used safely is fundamental to that mission.

The Forum brings together regulators, healthcare professionals, patient representatives, researchers, industry and development partners to address one of the most important challenges in healthcare: translating our collective commitment to patient safety into practical action that reduces medicine-related harm.
Many thanks to Medicines for Africa and Dr Lenias Hwenda for convening this important platform for leadership, collaboration and action.
We look forward to contributing to the conversation in Kigali—and, importantly, to working with our partners to turn these discussions into measurable progress for patients and health systems across Africa.
