May 7, 2024; Nairobi, Kenya — The chair of the APHF Governing Council, Dr. Bernard Haufiku, hereby announces the resignation of Dr. Ebere Okereke, CEO of Africa Public Health Foundation (APHF).

Dr. Okereke’s resignation as CEO of APHF will take effect from 31 May 2024.

During her tenure at APHF, Dr. Okereke has demonstrated inspiring leadership and has greatly helped drive APHF’s mission to advance public health initiatives across the African continent.

The Governing Council under the chairmanship of Dr. Bernard Haufiku, Founder of APHF, express their profound appreciation for Dr. Okereke’s outstanding leadership and contributions to APHF’s success and wishes Dr. Okereke the very best in her next role.

The APHF Governing council are working to ensure a seamless transition and will announce new appointments in due course.
