The website is owned and operated by the Africa Public Health Foundation (the “Foundation,” “we,” or “us”). We respect the privacy of every individual who visits the website. Links to other sites do not imply an endorsement of the materials or policies on those websites. Donor privacy

We value and respect our donors’ rights to privacy. We affirm that our fundraising practices protect against unauthorized use of any donor’s personal information that may be known to us. We do not share, sell, exchange, or trade donors’ personal information with any third parties for any purpose except as may be required in our founding legislation or by law. On our website, we publish the logos of our donors and an annual report to donors. Information we collect We collect two types of information:

  1. Standard web server traffic pattern information. General traffic, site usage, browser information and length of stay information is collected and stored in log files.
  2. Personal information. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. If you request information or donate, for example, we
    may collect the following information: first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, and subject of inquiry.

Use of cookies

  • Supply you with information including news related to the Africa Public Health Foundation, Africa CDC or public health, events and announcements.
  • Request monetary contributions to the Foundation.

4. We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us by email. If your name is entered into the database, we may contact you  (see (1) above).

External use

Unless required in our founding charter or by law, your personal information will not be shared, sold, or released to any organisation or business entity other than those affiliated with or working in conjunction with the Foundation.

You Control Your Data

We respect your privacy and allow you to restrict internal and external sharing of your personal information. We recognize that you may wish to limit the ways in which we contact you and we offer the following options:

Please contact us by email to report changes to your contact information. You can email info@aphf.africa. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before providing information or making corrections.

Children (16 and under)

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, please talk to an adult before supplying any personal information.

We take measures to maintain the security of personal information as it is provided by our stakeholders.
